Lu Yao Revisited!
Those of you who have followed the Home of Hope since the beginning may remember the story of little Wang Lu Yao.
In early 2005 as we were working with the XuZhou government to open Home of Hope #2, we found Lu Yao in quite a hopeless situation.
Our hearts immediately went out to her and we were able to team up with several other organizations and a great hospital enabling us to send Lu Yao to the Unites States for treatment. You can read all the details by clicking here.
In April 2005 Lu Yao went to the United States and begin a series of major surgeries and cancer treatment. All ini all, Lu Yao is doing great!
The family who became her primary care giver have done a wonderful job with Lu Yao and are now in the process of adopting her and making her a permanent part of their family.
After many surgeries Lu Yao has settled into a life of happy contentment with her American family and even though she is undergoing continued treatments is turning into quite the special young lady.
We were so pleased to receive some new pictures of Lu Yao with her family in the States and we though we would show you a few of them.
One can tell by the smile on her face and the relaxed and happy sense that is portrayed in the pictures, that Lu Yao is indeed a miracle child. Through the auspices of the Home of Hope and many others who cared, along with those of you who support the work here in China, Lu Yao is true proof of what can happen when people from different walks of like and from different countries, band together to bring hope to a needy child!
