Visitors from Shanghai
On March 31, 2010 and April 1, 2010 the Home of Hope had a two groups of visitors from Shanghai. There were about 45 high school students in each group along with their teachers. These kids all attend the International School in Shanghai.
They were all children of people from other countries who are working in Shanghai. The Home of Hope children really enjoyed their visit and we were fortunate to get a group of snapshots showing the visit. It was quite a time of International Exposure and was a real eye opener for the children. Probably as much for the young people from ShangHai as it was for the children of the Home of Hope.
The young people from Shanghai brought fruit, candy, other snacks, jump ropes, various types of balls and other goodies for the Home of Hope Children.

Ye Ye’s Birthday
The Home of Hope high school children and college students all returned home over the weekend of the 4th so by Sunday night all the children were home except Esther (in college in Beijing), Paul (in college in JingZhou) and Hazel (in college in PuYang). Of course it was easy to see there was something going on behind the scenes.
Then Monday morning, Ye Ye was talked into taking a drive out to the Yellow River since the weather was so nice and it was really turning warm. Needless to say, he was suspicious but not wanting to ruin anything the children may have cooked up, he didn’t say anything.
Once we arrived at the Yellow River, we saw the bus and of course all the Home of Hope children waiting excitedly for Ye Ye’s arrival.
The following snapshots will give you a glimpse of a totally awesome day which then culminated with a huge birthday cake after supper.
