Picnic Time

[metaslider id=4756]What a lovely time of the year in China. The Cherry Blossom trees are blooming… nothing like Japan but still very, very pretty… The bees are buzzing around… the birds are chirping and we decided it was time to take all the Home of Hope children and all the staff on our first picnic of 2014.

We alway go to the Yellow River for our picnics and in the area we go to there are also several carnival type rides, we usually let the children enjoy.

First we negotiate with the owner and ask them to give us a discounted group rate since we are an orphanage. Those who agree we enjoy their rides… those who don’t we don’t use their rides.

We found a place where there weren’t a whole lot of people around and spread a large plastic sheet on the ground and the kids had their picnic lunch.

After lunch was over some headed for the rides while others went for a walk along the river. This time of year it is not muddy so it’s pretty nice to walk along the river.

Later in the evening after returning home one could listen to the children and they were telling each other about their experiences during the trip. It is so cute to listen to them explain how they were not afraid… when the truth is they were very nervous when each ride started.

Once again it is only because of you and others like you that we are able to continue working with these lovely children.

It is your support and prayers that helps us to help these children grow both physically andScreen Shot 2014-05-11 at 9.59.03 AM spiritually and to be able to experience a normal childhood which they all so dearly deserve

As I look at each of these children on an individual basis, knowing what I know of their past and their condition when we found them, I hate to even imagine what would have become of them had the Home of Hope not been there to preserve their life.

Thank you so much for being part of this and helping to make this happen and to continue!

Blessings from China!
